Ballydonaghy cottage

Ballydonaghy cottage

This cottage in Ballydonaghy Townland in the Parish of Camlin, is located just 300 metres from another property (Darraghmore) once occupied by an Oakman family. Estimated to be up to 300 years old, it may well have been the home of the Oakman family who were living in the area in the early 1700s.

The 1830s Ordnance Survey Map shows two buildings on this property, while land valuation records of the same time show three buildings. The ruins of the main residence still exists but the two buildings listed as "offices" are gone.
