Leo and Wilhemonia were in Sydney in 1903 when their son, Sydney Victor Oakman, was born. They were living in Melbourne by 1907 at 209 Richardson Street, North Carlton.
Wilhemonia died in 1941. When Leo died in 1959 he was living at 44 Park Street, North Fitzroy. He was 76 years old and like many other members of the Oakman family, had been suffering the painful effects of Arteriosclerosis for many years. He died 10 months after suffering a "Coronory Occlusion".
Leo and Wilhemonia were buried at Melbourne General Cemetery, Grave RC-EE-172.
